Leven 1 Lesson 9 - Gender Nouns for People



There are four types of gender nouns in English but in this lesson, we will only provide few examples of  masculine and feminine gender nouns for people.

Usually, when a gender noun ends in -a, it indicates a female.

Examples:

Filipino
Filipino (male)
Filipina (female)

Doctor
Doktor (male)
Doktora (female)

Seller/Vendor
Tindero (male)
Tindera  (female)

American
Amerikano (male)
Amerikana (female)

Teacher
Maestro (male)
Maestra (female)

Grandfather/Grandmother
Lolo (male)
Lola (female)
