Level 1 Lesson 7 - Question Words

In today's lesson, we will learn the Tagalog counter part of the question words what, where, why etc. These question words will be very useful in every day conversation that you will make when you converse with Filipinos in the future.

What? = Ano?

Example:
What is that?
Ano iyan?

Where? = Saan?

Example:
Where are you going?
Saan ka pupunta?

When? = Kailan?

Example:
When are you coming back?
Kailan ka babalik?

Who? = Sino?

Example:
Who are you?
Sino ka?

Why? = Bakit?

Example:
Why are you here?
Bakit ka nandito?

Which? = Alin?

Example:
Which one do you like?
Alin ang gusto mo?

How? = Paano?

Example:
How do you do it?
Paano mo ginagawa yan?

And that's simple as that. For now, you can memorize these question words in Tagalog. These are the basic words in asking questions hence, you won't regret adding it in your Tagalog vocabulary.
